Currency and Banking
UO Sagas uses one main in-game currency: gold. Plus two special currencies that are spent at the Vault of Eren Vendor.
Gold
Gold is the everyday currency: loot it from creatures, earn it by selling to vendors and players, spend it on goods, housing and services.
Your banked gold is shared across your whole account
Every character on your account draws on the same gold balance. Deposit on one, spend it on another — there is no transferring needed and no per-character split.
Items in your bank box are the exception: those stay per-character.
Gold stored in the bank works like a digital balance. When you deposit a pile of coins, the physical stack disappears and its value is added to that account-wide balance.
Your bank balance
- Your balance is briefly shown when you open your bank box.
- Say "balance" within 12 tiles of a banker to hear your current balance.
- Your balance is also displayed in the trade window when trading with another player.
The Bank
Banks are found in all towns (Coldstone, Moonvale, Volaria, Westwend) and in the orcish town of Grud Vurdal (see Player Orcs), marked by bank signs. Inside you will find bankers and minters — both offer the same services (in Grud Vurdal the banker is called a "shinies keeper"). Your bank box and balance are global: anything stored at one bank can be accessed from any other bank in the world.
Accessing your bank
- Say "bank" within 12 tiles of a banker to open your bank box.
- Or single-click the banker and choose Open Bankbox from the context menu.
- Bankers refuse to deal with criminals — wait out your criminal timer first.
Storage limits
- Your bank box holds up to 125 items with no weight limit; the gold balance is unlimited.
- The item limit can be raised (in three tiers of +25, up to 200) with the Additional Bank Slots upgrades from the Vault of Eren Vendor.
Deposits and withdrawals
- Deposit: drag coins (or bank checks) into your open bank box — the value is credited to your balance automatically.
- Withdraw: say "withdraw x" near a banker, where x is a number of coins up to 5,000 per request.
- Vendor purchases and player trades can draw on your banked balance directly. The exception is NPCs that teach skill points — they want gold coins handed over from your backpack, and they do not make change, so give them the exact amount.
Eren Coins
Buying Eren Coins
Eren Coins are bought through your UO Sagas player account, not in game:
A few minutes after purchase they are claimed at the top right of the Vault of Eren Vendor gump. They land on the account, so any character can spend them.
Eren Coins are the shard's supporter currency. They are bought with real money through your UO Sagas account portal at the Eren Shop. A few minutes after purchase they become available to claim at the top right of the Vault of Eren Vendor gump.
Eren Coins buy account perks (extra house, character and bank slots), bless deeds, dyes, almanac storage containers, name/appearance change deeds and more. Many of these items can alternatively be bought with plain gold — toggle the currency at the bottom left of the vendor gump.
First Light Points
First Light Points (FLP) were awarded to accounts that took part in the testing phases before launch, based on how long the account was registered. They are spent at the Vault of Eren Vendor on exclusive "of First Light" clothing and smoke-hued items — the full stock is listed in First Light. FLP can no longer be earned.
