House Storage

House storage furniture does for crafting materials what almanacs do for collectibles: it swallows whole stacks of resources, keeps them as a counter instead of an item, and hands them back on demand. Three pieces are sold at the Vault of Eren — the Artisan's Strongbox and the Alchemistic Shelf for 40 Eren Coins, the Jewelry Case for 35 — and once one is standing in your house, your craft menu can pull materials and tool charges straight out of it.
It has to be secured, not just locked down
A storage furniture does nothing until it is secured inside a house. Locked down is not enough — it will tell you so when you use it. You may secure one of each kind per house.
The basics ↑ top
- Deposit by dragging items onto the furniture. The item is absorbed and counted — the shelf even pours like a keg when you feed it potions.
- Drop a whole container — a bag, a box, a pack — and it is unpacked, not stored: everything inside that the furniture takes goes in, nested containers are opened too, and the container itself comes back to you. You get a summary of what went in ("Unpacked into the Artisan's Strongbox: 1,100 iron ingots, 50 boards, a saw"). Locked or trapped containers are never opened.
- Commodity deeds work both ways: drop a filled deed and it is unwrapped straight into storage, and empty deed paper is stocked in the Misc box. Any row of a stored resource can be sealed back into a deed with the Deed button, as long as spare paper is in stock.
- Browse and withdraw by double-clicking the furniture within 2 tiles. The container view
never opens — you get a tabbed menu instead. Type an amount (or
all), use the quick buttons, and press Withdraw. One click hands out at most 60,000 of a stack. - Access is per furniture, like any secured container: set it from the item's context menu or from the House Storage page of your house menu, where the house owner sees one row per kind.
- Everything stored is shared with everyone who has access to that furniture, and open menus refresh themselves when a house-mate deposits something.
Artisan's Strongbox ↑ top
The smith-and-carpenter box. Tabs: Materials · Supplies · Crafting Tools · Gathering Tools.
| Takes | Notes |
|---|---|
| Ingots, boards, granite, leather | Every material tier. Refined only — ore, logs and raw hides are not stored (smelt, saw or tan them first) |
| Plain cloth | Uncolored cloth only, so a rare hue can never be merged away |
| Daemon scales | Red scales only |
| Sand | Boxed with the granite it is mined alongside |
| Bones, enchanted bark, hardened resin, feathers, shafts, screws, clovers | The crafting supplies |
| Crafting tools | Smith's hammer, tinker's tools, sewing kit, saw, fletcher's tools, skillet, mallet and chisel |
| Gathering tools | Pickaxe, hatchet, skinning knife, shovel |
Up to 1,000,000 of each resource type and 10,000 tools.
Tools go in with their material, quality, remaining uses and maker's mark intact, so the box is also a tool chest. A pickaxe, hatchet or skinning knife must be plain and fully repaired — tinkered accuracy is fine (every colored one is crafted at least Accurate), but a magic, slayer-marked or poisoned one is refused. All tools must carry their default color and no custom name.
Each tool tab opens on an overview grid: one cell per tool with its art, how many are stored and how many uses each material tier holds, colored by tier. The arrow on a cell opens the list, one row per individual tool with its material, uses and crafter, and a Withdraw button per row — filter it by tool, by material tier, or by exceptional / non-exceptional.
Alchemistic Shelf ↑ top
The reagent and potion shelf. Tabs: Ingredients · Potions · Tools.
| Takes | Notes |
|---|---|
| The eight magery reagents | Black pearl, bloodmoss, garlic, ginseng, mandrake root, nightshade, spider's silk, sulfurous ash |
| Potions and potion kegs | Filled kegs give up their liquid; an empty keg joins the keg pool |
| Empty bottles | One shared bottle pool — loose bottles and the ones freed by depositing potions land together |
| Blank scrolls, blank maps | |
| Magical essence | An inscription material |
| Tools | Mortar and pestle, scribe's pen, mapmaker's pen, deciphering tools, blowpipe |
Up to 1,000,000 of each resource and 1,000 kegs.
The Potions tab shows one cell per potion family — Heal, Cure, Refresh, Agility, Strength, Poison, Explosion, Nightsight, Inflammable Oil — with a dose count per strength. Withdrawing filled potions costs a dose and a bottle; the Keg button beside Withdraw fills one of your stored empty kegs instead.
Only potions that exist on the shard are accepted, so a keg of something nobody can brew is refused at the door. Necromancy reagents are not stored here.
Jewelry Case ↑ top
The luck-jewelry display case. Tabs: Jewelry · Beads & Gems.
| Takes | Notes |
|---|---|
| Luck rings, bracelets, necklaces and bead necklaces | Must carry luck and still have charges |
| The six gems | Amber, amethyst, diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire |
Up to 1,000 pieces of jewelry and 1,000,000 of each gem.
Jewelry is filed by piece and gem — four boxes of six rows — and each row shows how many are stored and the range of charges left on them. A footer under the rows tells you what the picked row is worth (Diamond +38 luck), and the ▶ in a box's corner lists the pieces one by one so you can pull an exact charge count. The Worn first / Fresh first toggle decides which end of the pile a bulk withdraw comes off — put the nearly spent ones on your hunt and keep the fresh ones for later.
Star sapphires, citrines and tourmalines set no luck jewelry and are not accepted.
Use House Storage ↑ top
This is what the furniture is really for. Open a craft menu inside your house and tick Use House Storage in the options bar under the crafting box: from then on, materials and tool charges come out of the storage furniture that holds them, and anything it cannot cover falls back to your backpack for that item. The material counter turns brown while it is reading storage, and the tool line shows the pooled charges of the stored tools, with a selector for which material tier of tool to burn.
- It only works while you are inside the house, with access to the furniture.
- The toggle sits on every craft menu, alchemy, scribing, cartography and cooking included, so the shelf's reagents, bottles, blank scrolls and blank maps feed those recipes too. Where there is no furniture you can reach, the toggle is greyed out and says so.
- With the toggle on, tools stored in the box count as your tools — you can craft with a locked down tool, and Enforce Exceptional Tool narrows the pool to the exceptional ones only.
- When a crafting mastery refunds your materials, they go back into the furniture rather than into your pack, as long as the toggle is on and the box is still reachable — so look in the storage, not your backpack, for what came back. Logs return as boards, the way the storage holds them, and Magical Essence always comes back to you.
