Town Quests
Citizen Quests are the heart of the Citizenship system. Each town (Westwend and Volaria) offers a rotating board of quests on four schedules — daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Completing them earns points that raise your citizen rank, boost your town's weekly score, and give you spendable reward currency.
Quest Schedules
| Period | Time to complete | New quests appear |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | 1 day | Every day at 5:00 PM Eastern Time |
| Weekly | 7 days | Every Tuesday at 5:00 PM ET |
| Bi-Weekly | 14 days | Every other Tuesday at 5:00 PM ET |
| Monthly | 30 days | First Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM ET |
Once you accept a quest, you have the full period length to finish it — even if the board rotates in the meantime, your accepted quest stays valid for its whole window. You cannot, however, accept a quest that has already rotated off the board, and you cannot re-take a quest you have already completed.
Higher quest tiers are gated by citizen rank:
| Period | Minimum rank |
|---|---|
| Daily | Arrival (0 points) |
| Weekly | Citizen (500 points) |
| Bi-Weekly | Patrician (3,000 points) |
| Monthly | Baron (8,000 points) |
Quest Slots
How many quests you can take per period depends on your Quester Rank (1-3 slots, upgradeable at the registrar's rewards — see Citizenship), plus:
- A town bonus can grant +1 daily and/or +1 weekly slot for the week.
Bi-weekly and monthly slots come from Quester Rank only.
The Corruption Quest buys you an extra daily slot
A Corrupt Town Secretary will forge you one more daily quest slot in exchange for a kill contract — once per account per day, and only if you are a citizen. It is the only way past your Quester Rank's daily limit. See the Corruption Quest.
Finding Quest Givers
Quest givers stand around town with a yellow exclamation mark over their head. Double-click them or select Citizen Quest from their context menu.

Each profession offers its own quests:
| Quest Giver | Offers |
|---|---|
| Town Secretary (at the registrar) | Monster hunting quests (regular and paragon) |
| Alchemist, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Bowyer, Scribe, Tailor, Tinker | Crafting quests for their trade |
| Miner, Lumberjacker, Cobbler | Gathering quests (ore, logs, hides) |
| Provisioner | Adventure quests (treasure maps, dungeon chests) |
The quest gump has tabs for daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly quests at the top, arrows to page through offers at the bottom, and a red gem to accept the one you want:

Pay attention to the quest region. In the Wilds means anywhere overland; in a Dungeon means the named dungeon area.
After accepting, track your progress via the Citizen Information gump at the registrar or the Quests button on your paperdoll:

Quest Types
Hunting (Kill) Quests
Kill quests target a specific region — a dungeon level (Darkness, Hydros, Crematorium, Pyros) or an overland point of interest (Daemon Temple, Feral Shores, Ice Cave and many more). Every reasonably tough creature you or your pet kills in that region contributes progress based on its strength; trivial creatures do not count. Paragon kill quests only count paragon creatures, but pay noticeably better per kill (paragon kills count double).
- Daily and weekly hunts can roll overland or dungeon regions; bi-weekly and monthly hunts are dungeon-only.
- Deeper dungeon levels need less total progress — the monsters are stronger, so each kill counts for more of the goal.
- Party play works: progress from a kill is split among party members who are within 20 tiles, did at least 1 damage, and have a quest for that region. Party members without the quest don't dilute your share.
Crafting Quests
Craft a set number of specific items — potions, scrolls, smith work, carpentry, tailoring, tinkering or fletching. Quests may require a specific material (e.g. shadow iron) or exceptional quality; higher tiers ask for rarer materials and more exceptional pieces.
Important: crafting quests must be activated — toggle Craft for Quest in the crafting gump. While active, qualifying crafts count toward the quest but the item and materials are consumed: you do not keep the crafted item.

Gathering Quests
Deliver a quantity of a specific raw resource — a type of ore, logs or hides, from regular up to verite tier depending on the quest period. That makes them the Mining, Lumberjacking and Skinning quests: each skill has its own giver and its own tiers.
Important: gathering quests must be activated too — left-click your equipped tool and select Turn on Quest Gathering. While active, matching resources count toward the quest instead of going into your pack.

Adventure Quests
Complete treasure maps or open dungeon chests of a given level (or any level, for daily quests). Progress is tracked automatically — no toggle needed.
Rewards
Completing a quest pays out its reward points three ways at once:
- Total score — raises your citizen rank.
- Town score — counts toward your town's weekly competition against the rival town.
- Reward currency — spendable points in one of three flavours. Quests pay Town Influence (hunting and adventure) and Town Exports (crafting and gathering). The third, Town Defense, is not earned from quests at all — it comes from militia kills and CTF matches.
Spend it at your town registrar on wearables, dyes, mastery gems, banners, ethereal mounts and the Quester Rank upgrades — see Town Rewards for the full stock, prices and which currency each item takes.
Longer quests pay far more: a daily hunt is typically worth roughly 45-100 points, while a monthly hunt can pay 350-800+ points.
Tips
- Buy the Level up Quester Rank reward (500 points, twice) before anything else — three quest slots per period triples your income.
- Remember the toggles! Crafting and gathering quests give no progress until Craft for Quest / Quest Gathering is switched on.
- Materials and crafted items spent on quest progress are gone — don't toggle quest mode while crafting things you want to keep.
- Grab your daily Corruption Quest for the extra daily slot.
- Hunt in a party — everyone with the same region quest progresses from shared kills.
