Player Orcs
On UO Sagas, staff can flag a guild as orcish. Members of an orcish guild become player orcs: they get an orcish paperdoll and in-game character graphic, and are treated as kin by the NPC orcs of Eren.

Being a Player Orc
- Player orcs are not attacked by NPC orcs.
- Player orcs can buy and sell at the orc vendors in the orc town Grud Vurdal.
- Player orcs can place houses in the orcish player town Vord Brulgar — only orc players placing orc houses are allowed to build there.
- If a player orc commits an aggressive action against an NPC orc, the orcs' trust is broken: the character takes a burst of damage and suffers a 15-minute Orc Penalty (visible as a buff icon), during which orc NPCs no longer treat them as a friend.
Orcish Houses
Orcish house deeds are sold by the orc architect in Grud Vurdal — the deeds are orcish green. Any player can own and place an orcish house (outside Vord Brulgar), but buying one is tricky for a non-orc, since the architect only trades with orcs or players wearing a Mask of Orcish Kin.
Available orc houses, all upgradeable in 3 stages:
- Small Orc House
- Small Orc Shop
- Medium Orc Fort
- Warlord Fort
See Houses for details and prices.
Mask of Orcish Kin
- Wearing this mask lets any player "dress up" as an orc.
- While worn, NPC orcs will not attack you, and the orc vendors of Grud Vurdal will do business with you.
- If you commit an aggressive action against an NPC orc while wearing it, the mask destroys itself in an explosion that wounds you badly.
- The mask cannot be blessed with a Clothing Bless Deed.
