Mastery Perk Reset Deed

Mastery Perk Reset Deed The Mastery Perk Reset Deed is a one-use emerald deed that hands back every point you have spent on skill mastery perks, ultimate procs and Base Mastery bonuses. Your masteries keep their levels and their XP — only the spending is undone, so you can lay the same points out differently.

It is the only way to change a point you have already committed.

It resets everything at once

There is no per-mastery version. One deed wipes the perk, proc and character-enhancement spending across all your masteries and hands the points back to each mastery separately. If you only wanted to move two points in Swords, you still re-spend the lot.

Where to buy it

Only one merchant carries it: Valeska, the Vault of Eren Vendor, who stands just outside the south side of the Moonvale bank. Look under her Miscellaneous category.

Currency Price
Eren Coin Eren Coins 10
Gold Gold Coins 80,000

Use the currency toggle in the bottom left of her gump to switch between the two — the deed is identical whichever way you pay for it, and you can buy several at once.

Why you would want one

Points are the scarce part of the mastery system, and you never get enough of them to buy everything.

A mastery starts at level 1 with 1 point and gains 1 more point per level, so your point total for a mastery is simply its level — 21 points at the level cap. What those points can be spent on is much larger:

Track What it buys Levels Points to max it all
A skill mastery Perk 1, Perk 2, the Template Bonus Perk and its Ultimate Proc 8 each 32
Base Mastery (Character Enhancement) Armor, Resist, Melee Damage and Spell Damage 8 each 32

Even a maxed mastery is 11 points short of filling its own four tracks, and the Base Mastery is short by the same amount. Every character therefore runs a compromise, and the deed is what lets you change your mind about it — after a rebalance, when you swap which mastery sits in your template bonus slot, or when a perk turns out not to suit how you actually play.

What it resets

Everything below drops to level 0, and the points return to the pool they came from:

  • Every perk of every mastery — Perk 1, Perk 2 and the Template Bonus Perk, for all masteries you have learned, not just the two you currently have active.
  • Every ultimate proc, for the same reason.
  • All four Base Mastery bonuses — Armor, Resist, Melee Damage and Spell Damage.

Points go back to the mastery that earned them, not into a shared pot: points refunded from a Swords perk are usable only on Swords perks, and Base Mastery points only on the four character enhancements. The deed cannot be used to shift points from one mastery to another.

What it does not touch

Kept What that means
Mastery levels Every mastery stays at the level it was
XP Every mastery keeps all the XP it has earned
Learned masteries You do not have to learn or pay for any mastery again
Active slots Your two active masteries and your template bonus choice stay as they were
Level-up items Gems, prisms, totems and relics you already spent are not returned

Using it

  1. Put the deed in your backpack — it will not work from a bank box, a container on the ground or a pack animal.
  2. Double-click it. A confirmation window headed Skill Masteries Perk Reset asks whether you really want to reset all points spent in the skill masteries.
  3. Choose cancel and nothing happens; the deed is untouched and can be used later.
  4. Choose okay and the reset runs immediately. The deed is consumed, a notice confirms that your points have been refunded, and the mastery window redraws with the new totals.

Open the mastery window afterwards — the Virtue button on your paperdoll — to spend the points again. Each mastery shows its own Points figure, and the Base Mastery shows Available Points; both are drawn in green while you have something left to spend and orange once you are at zero.

If you have not learned a single mastery yet, the deed tells you so and refuses to open the confirmation at all, so it cannot be wasted by accident.
